The Department of Mathematics since its foundation in 1966 in Patras has been established as a centre of pioneering teaching and research, thus it provides high-level studies as well as an environment fit for the features of each student.
The Department plays a co-ordinating role in developmental
initiatives for the benefit of the Region of Western Greece,
communicating the constantly generated scientific knowledge and participating
in a large number of European and international Educational and
research programmes and consortia and in all major academic
associations. Its forefront scientific research has been recognized
internationally and continues to date, assisting its students in becoming remarkable scientists and researchers through its various scientific divisions

Προκήρυξη Μ.Δ.Ε 2010-2011 |
Το Τμήμα Μαθηματικών του Πανεπιστημίου Πατρών, στα πλαίσια του Μεταπτυχιακού Προγράμματος Σπουδών (ΠΜΣ) Μαθηματικά και Σύγχρονες Εφαρμογές, γνωστοποιεί την
έναρξη της διαδικασίας επιλογής 50 το πολύ μεταπτυχιακών φοιτητών για το ακαδημαϊκό έτος 2010-2011.
Οι μεταπτυχιακοί τίτλοι σπουδών που απονέμονται είναι: α) Μεταπτυχιακό &ίπλωμα Ειδίκευσης (Μ.Δ.Ε.) και β) &ιδακτορικό &ίπλωμα (Δ.Δ.)
Στο πρόγραμμα γίνονται δεκτοί απόφοιτοι Τμημάτων Σχολών Θετικών Επιστημών, Πολυτεχνικών Σχολών και άλλων συναφών Τμημάτων. Επίσης απόφοιτοι άλλων Τμημάτων της Τριτοβάθμιας Εκπαίδευσης με τους όρους και τις προϋποθέσεις που τίθενται στον Εσωτερικό Κανονισμό του Πανεπιστημίου Πατρών και τον Εσωτερικό Κανονισμό του Τμήματος Μαθηματικών.
Οι ενδιαφερόμενοι καλούνται να υποβάλουν σχετική αίτηση μέχρι τη Δευτέρα 24 Μαΐου 2010 στη Γραμματεία του Τμήματος (κτίριο Βιολογίας–Μαθηματικών, 1ος όροφος, γραφ. 152, τηλ. 2610-997221).
