Recent Phd Schools

In the framework of the European research and training activities in Complexity Science we announce the continuation of a series of annual Ph.D. Schools on "Mathematical Modeling of Complex Systems". The first PhD School took place in Patras, Greece, in the summer of 2011 and the second Phd School was organized in Pescara in July of 2012. The third PhD School took place in Heraclion Crete in July 2013, the fourth PhD School in Athens in July 2014 and the fifth PhD School in 20 – 30 July 2015 in Patras

Most recent event: 28th Summer School–Conference “Dynamical Systems and Complexity”, Chania, Crete, 18-26 July 2022

Dedicated to the 70th birthday of Prof. Athanassios Fokas

Thalis

CRANS is leading a Thales Project entitled "Mathematical Modeling of Complex Systems with Applications in Biomedicine, Physics and the Technology of Materials" (MACOMSYS). The starting date of the project was 1-1-2012 and the ending date was 30 November 2015. The names of the collaborating researchers can be found here. The project ended with the 5th Ph.D. School – Conference “Mathematical Modeling of Complex Systems”, 20 – 30 July, 2015, where the work done under the project was also presented. The Proceedings of this event were published in the EPJST (European Physics Journal Special Theme) issue 225 (6), Springer – Elsevier, September 2016.

Mabiphys

The Inter-University Network "Modelization and Analysis of Biomedical and Physical Systems" (MABIPHYS) was approved by the Research Committee of the University of Patras at the beginning of the academic year 2009-2010, and was funded with 8000 euro, with the aim of seeking common research activities and organizing seminars, workshops and common events. For more information visit our site

Cosa

The Complex Systems and Applications group (COSA) was formed in 16/11/2006 by decision of the Executive Board of the National Centre of Scientific Sciences “Demokritos”. Researchers from “Demokritos”, other Greek Research Centers and Universities participate in the COSA group, who wish to collaborate on issues related to Complex Systems and applications. For more information visit our site.
