About C.R.A.N.S...

When did it start?

The Center of Research and Applications of Nonlinear Systems (C.R.A.N.S) was officially instituted by the Senate of the University of Patras in July 1996.

What are its purposes?

The purposes of C.R.A.N.S are:

· To facilitate interdisciplinary research activities and strengthen collaborative ties between scientists of the University of Patras working on nonlinear systems.

·

· To help in the organization of scientific events (Conferences, Workshops, Summer Schools) coordinated by University of Patras researchers, on some topic of nonlinear science.

·

· To develop and implement common teaching curricula, aiming at an interdisciplinary post graduate study program in Nonlinear Analysis of Complex Systems.

·

· To publicize effectively all aspects of scientific activities, at the University of Patras and elsewhere, related to teaching, research and applications of nonlinear systems.

Who are its members?

The members of C.R.A.N.S are faculty staff and researchers of the University of Patras, who are actively involved in research and teaching in some area of nonlinear science.

How can I learn out more about C.R.A.N.S?

For every Department of the University of Patras, cooperating with C.R.A.N.S, there is a faculty member responsible for communicating all activities related to nonlinear systems within his (or her) Department. These representatives and their e-mail addresses are:
