Key information
Key Information about the ERASMUS+ Programme
The study period abroad lasts for the time required to attend and complete the examinations of one semester, typically 4–5 months. It constitutes an integral part of the degree programme of the Department of Mathematics, replaces the corresponding period of study at the University of Patras and is fully recognised.
Student mobility takes place within the framework of inter-institutional agreements. The list of universities with which the Department of Mathematics has established Erasmus+ agreements is regularly updated and can be consulted through the relevant University services.

Courses, Recognition and ECTS
30 ECTS credits
5–6 courses typically
100% full academic recognition
The courses that students intend to attend abroad must be selected carefully. Appropriate correspondence with courses in the Department's curriculum should be ensured, and their content should not substantially overlap with courses that the student has already successfully completed at the University of Patras.
Students are required to take the examinations for the courses attended at the host university and are expected to make satisfactory academic progress during their period abroad. The target workload is 30 ECTS credits. Depending on the number of ECTS credits allocated to each course, this usually corresponds to approximately 5–6 courses.
Courses attended abroad may not also be taken at the University of Patras during the corresponding first examination period.
The host university issues an official Transcript of Records certifying completion of the agreed study programme and indicating the grades obtained. Following academic recognition, the corresponding grades and ECTS credits are recorded in the student's academic record at the University of Patras.
info
In all cases, academic recognition is subject to a relevant decision of the Department Assembly following a recommendation by the Erasmus+ Committee.
