The Department of Mathematics grants a Certificate of Pedagogical and Teaching Competence (CPT) to students who have graduated from the Department if they have enrolled in Departments up to and including the academic year 2026-2027. The CPT is awarded to graduates of the Department who have successfully completed the following six (6) courses which fall within the thematic areas of education and upbringing, learning and teaching, as well as teaching in the field of mathematical science:

➢ Analytical Geometry

➢ Introduction to Algebra and Set Theory

➢ Introduction to Computers and Programming with FORTRAN

➢ Infinite Calculus I

➢ Infinite Calculus II

➢ Statistical Inference I

For those who have been admitted to Departments of Higher Education Institutions before the start of the academic year 2013-2014, the provisions in force before the entry into force of Law 3848/2010 apply: they are considered to possess pedagogical and teaching competence upon receiving their degree (paragraph 2a of article 66 of Law 4589/2019) and therefore the relevant certification certificate is not issued.
